What is the hold-up?

The latest budget deal is getting national attention from the Wall Street Journal and our good old friend Grover Norquist.  Everyone says that it is good.  Everyone says that the conservatives held out and got a really good deal.  It seems like this might actually be “the one.”

So what is the damn hold-up?

It is hard for me to fathom that there are legislators who are unwilling to come to work and do their job.  This isn’t the movie, “Office Space.”  Some actual work needs to be done.

Um, yeah... we have a bit of a problem here.

You think voting for a budget is going to hurt your election chances?  How about NOT voting for a budget?  How about NOT showing up for work?  How about NOT doing your job.  Voters are sick of elected officials playing games so they don’t have to go on the record.  Vote for it or against it, I don’t care, but standing around and doing nothing is helping no one.
